We learned that the worst day of the year to visit the zoo is Good Friday. Apparently since everyone has off and the weather is finally getting nice, the entire state of NC thinks it’s a great time to go see the animals. We won’t make that mistake twice…
But, even though it was insanely crowded and it took us twice as long to get there as it should, we managed to enjoy ourselves. Kent, Candace, Bodie, and Ben came too! Here are some of the pics we got:

So, that’s about it. A day full of sitting in the car, walking in the heat, looking at a few animals, waiting in huge lines for bathrooms and food, riding the carousel, and drinking BIG ICEES trying to stay cool. We were all exhausted by the end!
*on a sidenote: it’s completely driving me crazy that some of the pics are not lining up right, but since I REALLY don’t want to start over, I guess I’m gonna have to deal with it. Grrr…
